Short Biography
I myself, Shane, born 5-3-1982, hail from the great state of New York, on the eastern part of Long Island. I am a college graduate majoring in both Politics/History and Information Technology from Curry College in December of 2005. I have a self-credited PhD in Geekology. I currently reside in Manorville, NY in the county of Suffolk.
Many people call me different names. Though I don’t use them at all legally:
- ^BuGs^
- Matrix/Neo
- Macgyver
- Shades
- Sugar Shane
- Dr. Shane
- WordPress
^BuGs^ is my primary name for online gaming as I don’t like to use ‘Shane’ in the gaming community.
One of my favorite passions is computer gaming, computer programing, and of course movie watching. I am also big into politics and history. And in this day in age, there is so much information, I have trouble sometimes keeping up myself. If you want to contact me, please use the contact form here.
Full History
During my early years, from when I can remember, I remember I had a hard time following directions. You might think of this as common. Unfortunately, I had it really bad and it had nothing to due with brain damage. Towards 4th, 5th, and 6th grades I was diagnosed with Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD or ADD) though undetermined on how extent it really was.
I always had a few knick-knacks that I was already involved with. There is a famous photo with me in a Santa’s hat, in my bed, surfing the Internet, on Christmas Eve. My adaptation for computers and electronics started at an early age. Over the course of my life I started my early school years going though many different schools before settling in a boarding school in Manchester-by-the-sea, MA. While attending Landmark, a school that specialized in teaching students with ADHD and ADD, I became someone and discovered myself to my full potential. Over the course of the years from middle school to high school I developed an interest in Mathematics, Computers, and Theory Science.
During my senior year, I was fortunate to have all department heads of each of the schools circulation. At the end of the year, I was on top of my class of 68 students with a 3.98 GPA. By this time, I had already decided to go to Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) into the College of Information Technology. College was an interesting experience for me. Even though it took me five and half years to complete I am one of the few people that graduated from my high school class to complete the college circuit.
While I was at RIT, I voted in my first U.S. presidential election in 2000. While there my interests sparked a “arts” side of my education. I became infatuated with the politics scene. From there on in I have always followed politics and been activity engaged. This sparked my interest in the “arts” side of things including criminal law, politics (in all aspects), and history keep me floating my last year at RIT. During the September 11, 2001 attacks, I was still at RIT and I witnessed, like many others, the attacks live on T.V.
I left RIT after my full second year at the school after having a hard time with the curriculum. After the 2001-2002 school year, I transferred to Curry College for my final three and a half years of school. At the time of my transfer though, I went from a BS, College of Information Technology major to a BA degree in Politics and History because Curry college did not have an information technology degree program at the time. While finishing up my first year at Curry College, they introduced an Information Technology program and I quickly signed up. By the end of my three and a half years, I had secured up enough credits to double major in both Politics and History and Information Technology.
