A few days ago I released 1.4.0.3 which fixes a few problems with the updated way the javascript code reads host names. Sub-domains now work and that has been taken into effect. You no longer need a ‘woopra_site_id’ and that has been removed from this version. I just did a triple check because people were reporting that error. There is a 1.4.1, but it has not been coded yet. If yours says 1.4.1 right now, download 1.4.0.3 from here. We are replacing the flash file for better capabilities. It will be another week or so before 1.4.1 is released. It will be after the WordPress 2.7 release.

For those looking for an update in the vBulletin version, I am working on it. I just haven’t had time to do that yet as I am working on WordPress 2.7 release at the moment.

I got threaded comments now working on my theme. It took a while, but they work nicely with my Live Comment Preview item. So you can click on the ‘Reply’ for the post, and it will bring the reply window up. Once you submit to that comment, it will attach itself to that post. I have it set right now to 4 max_depth commenting, which should be plenty. I gotta work on the CSS for the children, but that will happen in due time.

Having a day off from work, the World Series going on, and it being the Halloween Season, I decided to make two new dishes tonight: One being a dessert: Pumpkin Pie. So I started making this meal about an hour and half before game time in Philadelphia. Time you need for this whole meal is the hour and a half.

October 25, 2008 | FedEx and Kinkos: Charge for opening up files?

I was reading my favorite online comic, HiJinks Ensue, and the comic posted on the 22nd of October, explained the potential and fatal flaw within the FedEx Kinko’s model. Charging a customer for each double click of a file to open for printing is to me charging a paying customers to write one line of code even it was just a:

$i++;

The best part is if anyone orders the comic from Joel at HiJinks Ensue, he is going to bring it back to the FedEx Kinkos to prove a point to them. I hope he gives them an inexpensive thumbdrive.

I got this chain letter from a friend, which I usually delete right away because Chain letters are usually filled with crap and different surveys. This one had a picture indicating the level of sophistication by the type of cell phone the candidates might use.

Candidates Cell Phone Choices

Candidates Cell Phone Choices

The choices are to represnet how each candidate levels with the technology and the advancment of culture vs. living in the past. Judge for yourself, but it was still pretty funny.

So who hasn’t seen Iron Man? This movie is one of the two marvel movies I enjoy. The other being X-Men I, II, and III. I wasn’t really a fan of the The Incredible Hulk, other than I like to see the Cameo that Stark plays in the film. I hear it’s very minor. I know this review is way late. I saw this movie 3 times in the theater when it was out and I already rented it once from Blockbuster. I plan on getting the Blu-Ray version of this movie along with The Dark Knight Blu-Ray release in December.

Rating: 9.5/10
