Just as the title says, this is a day we are all blessed for.

So in short.. as this will be a very short blog post, I got my Blackberry Storm today, and I can’t even get it away from me!

So I had a bit of a problem with LIPA (Long Island Power Authority) with my bill. First two times they over-charged me because they “estimated” on how much I had used, given the fact that I only been here a month and I only really used 63 KWH between September and for the month of October around the same amount. After calling them about it I told them what my starting reading was and the current reading.

I was told that I was going to get an adjusted bill in a few days, and that it would be credit back on my account. Coming back from work tonight, I check my mail…

OMG!

I was in shock. They changed my “turned on reading” to the number to today’s number, and kept the old number from the old and “wrong” bill the new number. So instead of being like $182 and change it’s $2,261 and change!!!!! 11,413 KW instead of like 63 KW.

Now it’s Friday and they are closed until Monday 8am! So… you can imagine on how much of a shock I was in when I got this bill. Anyway, Monday phone call will be interesting. I’ll let you know how it goes!

First of all… sorry for no updates! It’s been real busy here with work and/or the fun I been having. Having said that, things are again quiet for a bit.

I was in the city yesterday for an unrelated work/fun thing and I knew that the taping of the Late Show with David Letterman usually seats around 2pm. Having said that we (My mom and I) headed over via Cab and when we got their we were disappointed that they changed their procedure once more. Now the next time you are in the city, head to the Ed Sullivan Theater between 9:30am and 12:30pm the day of the taping to put yourself into a lottery system. Around 1pm you will get a phone call if you have gotten in or not.

One thing to remember if you go to the Late Show since it is a LIVE taping to be aired later that night… there are no cell phones and no flash photography/photography equipment in the building. So have a place to put these items during the show since the theater does not have a “check-in”. That’s about it! Check you later!

This is what you see when you join the game.

This is what you see when you join the game.

WOW!

I just played the demo, and while the first time around I was stupid enough to leave alone my teammates, I learned the next time that this is a game that you can not go out on your own. The demo only includes two levels of one map and with the 20+ maps that are coming out with the game in less than a week, I can expect more fun!

Right now the game has several plaguing problems. Most noticibly with the server matching problems and people trying to play together as a group. Also if you are on a windows machine, you can not run a dedicated server and play the game at the same time.

Attached is the only thing that I can get for now. It is a poster of the “map” as you join it. If you think about the modding possibilities with this game, they are endless. There are plenty of screenshots and video of the game in action on the biggest fan website including the official trailer for the game. The offical review of this game will come out once the game is released. This is just a preview. expect a much fuller review then!

Think of this as an early present if you pre-purchase Left 4 Dead via Steam or XBOX 360 authorized websites. According to Steam/Valve you will have access to the demo all the way up to the release date, when it will cease to exist. This is very cool as they have always said that there was going to be a demo version after the release date. Guess not! Pre-purchase it now!

I woke up 44 minutes ago to vote. My polling place is no more than 1.6 miles from my place so I decided to walk to the place in this historic election. I plan to watch the election with my family at my mom’s house. Like the three of us are, we are political junkies.
