One of the problems using the flash date function is that if you need to manually test a time period and ‘start’ from a certain time there really is no ‘built in’ function to force the date function not to use your system clock. I was getting frustrated that I could set the starting clock. That would still work for me to see how either the sky was being set or how many stars would appear at night time, but I needed to keep the internal clock synced as I had a lot of time checks for star removal towards the early morning period. So I cam up with a solution which I will show you how. read more ‘Internal Date Class ‘Debug’

Superman/Batman: Public Enemies

Superman/Batman: Public Enemies

After now watching this DC comic movie right after the last one I saw, I was not as impressed as I was when I finished the movie. The story line again is right from the comic, but I don’t think it had the same strength as Wonder Women and Green Lateran had.

The animation style was completely different from the previous two and I think that made me disgust through out the movie, but the story line and the voice acting was good bringing back the original Batman/Superman Animated Series cast members.

The movie was still go overall, however it wasn’t the best one of the series. With the movie you get a small Batman figurine with the movie and the large amount of bonus features on the disc include four Batman/Superman episodes from Justice League Unlimited vs. Lex Luthor and two episodes from the Superman Animated Series that both have Batman crossover stories.

Rating: 7 out of 10.

Surrogates is BSG-Like

Posted by Shane

I saw Surrogates at the movies a few nights ago and this movie theme is very much like Battlestar Galactica where robots are the principal focus and that the human race now depends on their survival to be able to operate. There is a faction that is against the ‘robots’ and the movie centers around a weapon that can defeat the surrogate machines.

I have a 16GB flash drive that stores of course the information I need to travel around with in-case I need them. I did my wash last night and after the dryer cycle I found that I could not close the door to the dryer. The reason was because my sandisk was blocking the hinge to the door.

I was like.. Electronics with Water/Heat/Washing Detergent equals Dead. You think so. So I immediately plugged it up to any computer that I could find. And I was like.. please work. Windows was ‘Installing the Drivers’ and when it was down I was able to search and open the files just as I was before. Amazing!

These things are hardcore. I would always try to avoid this type of situation, but just to know that it has a pretty high survivability in a very intense wash cycle. I am guessing that it falling in water or getting wet is nothing now.

Windows 7 Banner

Windows 7 Banner

I am (at the time of this post) currently at a Microsoft sponsored event learning about Windows 7, the new Operating system that is scheduled to be released on October 22, 2009. The demonstration has been quite useful to learn directly from Microsoft the new features that Windows 7 has in store. The OS seems to have a solid foundation in it’s code. I been trying all day to BOSD the units that they are running the release candidates on and I have yet to do so and I don’t think I would without really manually editing the registry. I even able to use XP Virtual Machine with no problems. Good news for those people who want to upgrade and need XP! The machines only have 3GB of RAM and it’s running super quick! read more ‘Windows 7 Training

Batman Arkham Asylum

The game as released yesterday and I haven’t really stopped play it yet. Minus the fact that I did have to go to bed last night (around 3am). The game is totally rad. Great graphics, dialog, cut scenes, and control and the story line is just great!

Kevin Conroy the voice actor who voiced Batman in Batman: The Animated Series and Mark Hamil (Does he ever get tired of being the Joker?) plays the Joker respectively again for this ground breaking game.

Currently it is $49.99 via Steam, however, I think it’s quite worth it since there are three levels of difficulty and also lots of ways you can beat the game. The game currently holds a 92 on Metacritic and that what is was before the game was officially released.
