Lunch time was fun. again I hooked up with Dingman for lunch inside the Advanced Development room. This was the first chance that I got to meet Jane at the lunch room. I also met Matt Mullenweg (Photomatt) the founder of Automatic and the creator/lead developer of WordPress. Without him, WordCamp and WordPress would not exist. This way we could get ready for the next session track on IDE and Free Tools hosted by Jeremey Clark. I stayed right after this session for Unit Testing by John Bintz. This is the one I was waiting for all day because I never knew the value of Unit Testing until this session.

I then departed the Advanced Track to check out one of the Beginner sessions just so I can see how I can tailor my programing to help out the starting WordPress users. The session I choose was jQuery in Themes. One thing that I disagreed with Jo, Doron, was that each theme should have jQuery loaded into the theme files when it’s distributed. WordPress has wp_enqueue_script that will load jQuery native and not have to worry about it loading more than once. Even if you are going to include your own jQuery file it should still go through wp_enqueue_script to verify that no other jQuery plugin has loaded including making sure that the one that is loaded is an older version in order to justify loading  jQuery again.
