Snow is fail.

Yesterday’s Snow Storm/Blizzard/White Out/<Insert your own weather related system code> was crazy. So last night from work it took me 2.5 hours to go 1.5 miles (2.4 km) back to road that would take me to my apartment. One reason it took me so long is that I missed the exit the first time around and had to go to the next exit to loop back around. It took me another good 0.5 hours on the local street to get to my front door because I could not see more than 10 feet in front of me.

This morning it took me close to 3.5 hours to clear my car out of the snow. My apartment complex plowed the snow directly into my car. (Thanks Pine Hills!) After getting it all cleared, all 12 feet long and 5 feet high, I started on my way to work. On the highway, before I even got to the first exit that I come upon my car is shacking pretty heavy. So I get off at the local Starbucks to check out the car. Nothing wrong with the tires, just a lot of snow inside the well of the tires. Clean them out.

Upon further inspection of everything, I noticed this huge crack on my windshield. It extended from one end to the other along the bottom. Oh snap! During this weather I didn’t really want to be driving around with a crack that extends from one end to the other. Tomorrow is going to a better day and I will be able to get it fixed since where I am there is a State of Emergency (Work was open though… weird.) and everything else is closed.

So I grab a huge cup of White Hot Chocolate from Starbucks for the ride back, I get back to my parking space that I had just cleared out. SOMEONE ELSE TOOK MY SPOT! :anger:

So now I have to find a place that can repair my glass. *fail* Anyway… let the games begin!
