4 hours later -12:15pm (Mountain Time) – Arrival in the Salt Lake City Airport was great. The view of the mountains coming in to land was great. Was not able to see Park City, UT, but I am guessing that we were still to high up to see it with the naked eye. Finding my one checked bag at the baggage claim was easy — it was already there waiting for me — since it took me ten minutes to get off the plane and then I had to traverse the huge airport from the very last Delta gate. With my checked bag, carry on bag, and laptop bag in tow I headed for the shuttle service that I was booked on. Once I got my shuttle assignment and papers in order, I waited for my shuttle to appear. It did appear about 20 minutes later and I got on board — being the only one we were off and rolling to the Condo that my mom and sister were already awaiting for me.
2:00pm – Once I got in I started unpacking, getting everything together, and then me and my sister headed out to get my skis and boots. A quick “30 minute” trip via the very impressive bus system we arrived at the base of the Park City Mountain were I headed in to the ski shop to get my skis and boots. I was very impressed with my sister. She has got all the times for the buses down and the location of everything nailed down! I don’t need to do anything this trip. She will be my tour guide on the ground and the mountain. After a quick stop at a grocery store, we headed back to the Condo to get Albert, the shopping cart, to go food shopping some more.
5:00pm – I found out that my application for by Best Buy Corporate Credit Card (used for travel expenses when in MN) was declined again because the system didn’t route my application to the right managers. I did this before I left, but I found a local Best Buy here in Park City, which is just a walk away from the Condo, to resubmit it real quick. This place would be great to work at if I lived in this Condo full-time to go skiing during the day and work at night during the winter months. Anyway… after getting permission to log in to the system to do so, I re-submitted the application. I did forget my password and had to change it. Oops.
6:00pm to now… – Mom made dinner and we figured out logistics for the rest of the trip. Made my bed and got settled typing this post. About to hit the sack for the night. I am way tired. My body thinks it’s 10:21pm. I been good for the past 6 hours staying up, but I am about to crash here.
Till tomorrow… first day of skiing. Yay!
P.S. For the duration of this trip, all photos and video will be provided by my sister. My cell phone is purely for calls only this trip, not for taking photos.
