I have a 16GB flash drive that stores of course the information I need to travel around with in-case I need them. I did my wash last night and after the dryer cycle I found that I could not close the door to the dryer. The reason was because my sandisk was blocking the hinge to the door.

I was like.. Electronics with Water/Heat/Washing Detergent equals Dead. You think so. So I immediately plugged it up to any computer that I could find. And I was like.. please work. Windows was ‘Installing the Drivers’ and when it was down I was able to search and open the files just as I was before. Amazing!

These things are hardcore. I would always try to avoid this type of situation, but just to know that it has a pretty high survivability in a very intense wash cycle. I am guessing that it falling in water or getting wet is nothing now.

So I was just checking out threads on the Battlestar Forum, one of the many sites I operate. One of them was titled ‘Obama Depressed, Distant Since ‘Battlestar Galactica’ Series Finale‘. I thought nothing of it until one of the moderators reported this as ’spam’ because it was posted twice. Once I checked it out I was laughing real hard. The article is really about how many people felt about the Battlestar Galactica series finale ending. It explains how the Leader of the Free World was depressed because of this. One of the images in the articles has Obama reading ‘Battlestar Forum’ for spoilers to the leaked Caprica script (which we don’t have.. sorry).

I got this chain letter from a friend, which I usually delete right away because Chain letters are usually filled with crap and different surveys. This one had a picture indicating the level of sophistication by the type of cell phone the candidates might use.

Candidates Cell Phone Choices

The choices are to represnet how each candidate levels with the technology and the advancment of culture vs. living in the past. Judge for yourself, but it was still pretty funny.

Running a Battlestar Galactica fan site, you get the neuances of politics mixed in with a bit of the humor that plays off real life. But a user on the forum posted this image and I was shocked that they seem very similar in appearance. Does Ron Moore know something about the 2008 US Presidential Election that we don’t know? Props to Bluce_Ree for pointing this out.

Are the GOP Candidates Cylons?

I like to make it clear that I do not know the final cylon.

One of the things of web designing is getting the CSS to work correctly or to find out why it won’t the frak move over. If you look at the previous post, I am having trouble getting the links to move a little bit more to the left. Lets just say I am not having any good luck right now. Update: Go figure. Once I really got into it using a FireFox extension called “Firebug” I was able to find the CSS that made it look better.
