I woke up 44 minutes ago to vote. My polling place is no more than 1.6 miles from my place so I decided to walk to the place in this historic election. I plan to watch the election with my family at my mom’s house. Like the three of us are, we are political junkies.

I got this chain letter from a friend, which I usually delete right away because Chain letters are usually filled with crap and different surveys. This one had a picture indicating the level of sophistication by the type of cell phone the candidates might use.

Candidates Cell Phone Choices

Candidates Cell Phone Choices

The choices are to represnet how each candidate levels with the technology and the advancment of culture vs. living in the past. Judge for yourself, but it was still pretty funny.

So I went to go see “W.” Saturday, and I was very impressed with Oliver Stone very neutral view on George W. Bush’s Presidency. Now granted it was very fake in who the players were, but it gave a pretty accurate portrayal on what has happened for the past eight years in the White House. I recommend people see this movie and not just Democrats, but Republicans as well.

Rating: 6/10

I just got my NY Board of Elections card and I can vote this November 4, 2008. I only have to walk .6 of a mile to the high school which is behind my apartment complex. Not bad. Before in VA it was right next door, but at least I can vote. I was unsure that I get to since I moved back up so close to the election that I could get my registration moved fast enough. They are even looking for Election Inspectors which pay about $160 per election. I might like to do that. This card though brings the burden that I am back in the NY jury pool and the last time I was called up for jury duty (either in MA, NY, or VA) was in 2004 for the Daniel Pelosi murder trial. So it’s just a matter of tick-tocks.

Running a Battlestar Galactica fan site, you get the neuances of politics mixed in with a bit of the humor that plays off real life. But a user on the forum posted this image and I was shocked that they seem very similar in appearance. Does Ron Moore know something about the 2008 US Presidential Election that we don’t know? Props to Bluce_Ree for pointing this out.

Are the GOP Candidates Cylons?

Are the GOP Candidates Cylons?

I like to make it clear that I do not know the final cylon.

The US Presidential Election is now officially in full swing. After months of guessing the official nominees and their running mates all the table places are now occupied.

If you haven’t read by now, Senator Obama has chosen Senator Biden and Senator McCain has chosen Governor Sarah Palin as their running mates.

Why is Obama’s and Palin’s name in itlaics? Not only are they young compared to their counterparts, both still have very little full time expereince. I am not going to divugle my party afflication, but when it comes down the being a policial junkie this election I can not ask for a better match up.

I was just surfing the news just to see if there was anything interesting to read and this article just popped right out. With Ted Stevens (R-AK) indicted the question remains if he will resign from the Senate as the now trail will go on or if he will be re-elected in November.

I suggest you keep tabs on the CNN website for more updated information through out the week.
