NASA, ESA, and D. Jewitt (UCLA)

The last time I posted something about NASA there might have been ‘God’s Hand In Space’, but it seems like NASA might have struck gold. While we all know Battlestar Galactica is “fake” NASA Hubble Telescope has seems to have disproved that theory.

I would not be surprised to see a more rational explanation for this however I can only think of two:

1. Cylon Basestar
2. Vulcan Scout ship.

What should us common folk do? Watch Caprica!

Another successful event about all things Battlestar with the wonderful panel that I was part of again. This being our second time doing this panel we had much more fun this time around since the entire evening was talking about the show. We were not rushed doing other events and we still had time for Battlestar Galactica Trivia in between the major question directions.

Battlestar NYC Panel

Today is the day that the Battlestar Wiki hosts the second Battlestar Galactica NYC Panel. If you are planning on attending be sure to arrive an hour early for a meet and greet session before hand. The admission price is $10 however there is trivia with prizes to be won!

Battlestar NYC Panel

Dee Dee dum! We talk Battlestar Again! After our last one this past September, we decided to do another one this December 8th, 2009. This time there is no “events”; just straight talk this time around. It will be hosted again by John Brooks.

I saw Surrogates at the movies a few nights ago and this movie theme is very much like Battlestar Galactica where robots are the principal focus and that the human race now depends on their survival to be able to operate. There is a faction that is against the ‘robots’ and the movie centers around a weapon that can defeat the surrogate machines.

This past Sunday, the August 30^th, 2009, I went to my first ever Battlestar related event and to top it off, I was one of the panel members when discussion took place. The event which lasted just over 4 hours at the *HiChristina* art gallery.

While the panel was one aspect of the event, it was not the only thing going on. Let’s recap the night activities in which I thoroughly enjoyed.

On August 30th, 2009 at 6pm there is a gathering of Battlestar Galactica fans in the Bronx’s. The festivities include games, trivia, entertainment, and discussion regarding the series. I will be in attendance and as a panel member during discussion representing the Battlestar Wiki!

This will be my first Battlestar related event that I will ever go to. The location is at the Hi Christina at:

632 Grand Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn NY near the L train at Lorimer

Cover charge for the event is $5. There is parking nearby or if you live in the greater NYC area take the metro. I hope to see you there!
