Wow. I like totally forgot about posting my Oscar predictions. I usually do this once they are announced, but I have some free time this morning before we leave for the slopes. The Oscars happen on Sunday this year hosted by Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin.

Today was the final time that I will see Avatar in the theater. I have seen it a total of 4 times — one time being by myself and the other in a non-IMAX theater. The next time I will see this movie is when it gets the awards for Best Picture, Best Special Effects, and Best Director at this years Awards Ceremony and then on Bluray.

Straight from this post:
- Batman 3
- Green Lantern (Live Action!)
- Jonah Hex
So far from the original list I seen ‘G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra‘. Yeah. Lame. (Click “Lame” to see my lame review.) So that’s three D.C. comics. Where is the Marvel movies?
Well… only Iron Man, Spiderman, and X-Men exist in my world. I will see the other Spiderman movies now that I have confirmed that Toby will be back to be the web crusader once more.
What’s with all the movie news? Well.. this is the time of year the the studios gear up for filming because the summer is winding down. For next time…. later!

Following one of my favorite movie site for insights on future and current movies, I got word that the new Batman movie is being considered for 100% IMAX filming.
If anyone remembers the Dark Knight bank robbery scene at that start of the movie and how “full” of action it was that’s the kinda of movie.
If this were true, I place my order for my 12:01 showing at our local theater right now. Filming it in IMAX would take a extra year according to the site because the IMAX camera is huge and very bulky for any cameraman.
We will see.

I wish I could go to Comic-Con every year, but it is on the WRONG side of the country. ‘Iron Man 2′ sneak peak was shown and it would have been great to see it live with the actors in the room.
It comes out May 2010. The usual time for movies that I want to see comes in May close to or after my birthday.
Movies coming out that I want to see very badly (even if I have to go to the midnight showing):
(No order…)
- Iron Man 2
- G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra
- A Christmas Carol
- Sherlock Holmes

Benjamin Button is another movie I just watched. After bashing the movie on the Battlestar Forum and since my sister had to watch it for a class, I watched it at the same time. The first movie that I thought of that compares to this is Big Fish. Where the son of a dying old man tells his story of his adventures as the movies flashes back to his life on his adventures.
So what compares with this on is that Brad Pitt character goes from older in a young mans body to and old person in a young body while the girl he met is on her death bed with her grand daughter. The girl in the death bed is played by her “younger” self in the flashbacks. The movie explorers the dynamics between how people view people at an old age vs. young age.
I truly doubted the movies characteristics. This movie was really good. Very moving.
Rating: 9 out of 10.
